Accessibility
A booking page nobody can use is not a booking page. Here is where we stand, honestly.
What we are aiming for
We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the current version of the international standard, across nextupbooking.com and the booking pages we host for businesses.
Display options
Every page on this site has a Display options button in
the header, marked Aa. It offers larger text, higher
contrast, and reduced motion. Your choice is remembered in your browser.
We deliberately did not install one of the third-party accessibility widgets you may have seen elsewhere. Those scripts sit between you and the page and often interfere with the screen reader or magnifier you have already set up. Instead, this site honours the settings you have already chosen in your browser or operating system, including reduced motion, increased contrast, and high contrast mode. Browser zoom works to 400% without the page breaking or scrolling sideways.
What we have checked
- Text contrast on this site meets 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text.
- Every page reflows to a 320 pixel width, which is what 400% zoom produces, with no horizontal scrolling.
- Increasing line, word, and letter spacing does not cut off any content.
- Every page has a "Skip to content" link as the first thing you reach by keyboard.
- Keyboard focus is visible on every control.
What we know falls short
We would rather tell you than have you find out. As of 30 August 2026:
- On the owner dashboard, the appointment filter dropdown is not labelled for screen readers.
- In the booking checkout, the consent checkboxes are smaller than the 24 by 24 pixel minimum, which makes them harder to hit accurately.
- The booking page and owner dashboard have not yet been tested end to end with a screen reader against live data, only their page structure.
Both of the first two are scheduled. This page will be updated as they land rather than quietly edited afterwards.
Tell us about a barrier
If something here does not work for you, email [email protected]. Tell us the page and what happened, and include the browser and any assistive technology you use if you can. We would rather hear about it than not.
For anything about a specific appointment, contact the business you booked with. They manage their own bookings; we operate the platform.
